FIFTY-one-year-old Gingesh Khan called ‘Links’ was, on Thursday, found guilty on three counts of indecent assault of a nine-year-old girl along with a count of carnal knowledge, by a 12-member mixed jury at the Demerara High Court.

Khan was on trial before Justice Brassington Reynolds in the Sexual Offences Court for the four charges. The 12-member jury, after deliberating for more than an hour, returned the guilty verdicts.

The accused was remanded to prison and will return to court, on May 14, 2019, for sentencing, after the presentation of a probation report. Khan was represented by Attorney Ravindra Mohabir, while the state’s case was presented by Prosecutors, Seeta Bishundial and Lisa Cave.
