DURING an hour-long meeting with ‘Move On Guyana’, Prime Minister Moses Nagamootoo assured the youth organisation of the government’s support.
The prime minister, who is currently performing the functions of the President, told the group’s executives that the Coalition Government is committed to implementing the goals of the Constitution, which include free education from nursery to university levels.

The youth team was led by its President, Vishal Joseph, the current Caricom Youth Ambassador, and included secretary, Christopher Johnson; Assistant Treasurer, Varune Mahadeo; Vice-Presidents Mary Adams and Rosco Jeffrey; and other executive members– Eon Bollers, Joseph Singh, Christine Simon, Elson Low, Akeem Peters, Dr. Randy Domer and Dr. John Anderson.

The group of young professionals stated that they are interested in promoting fresh thinking and action as well as implementing policies. They commended the government for executing several youth initiatives and for being supportive of strong youth leadership in Guyana.
Prime Minister Nagamootoo expressed pleasure at receiving the youth leaders and exchanging ideas with them. He said, like the late Martin Luther King, “mine eyes have seen the future”, as he recounted his origin in the youth and student movement since 1964. (DPI)
