KESHAWN Simon, a 29-year-old body-builder, appeared Wednesday before Magistrate Faith McGusty at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court, charged with possession of narcotics and was granted $50,000 bail.
Simon, who was unrepresented by counsel, denied the charge which read that on April 15, 2019 at 247 Oronoque Street, Georgetown, he had in his possession eight ‘ecstasy’ pills for the purpose of trafficking.
Prosecutor Ceon Blackman objected to bail for the defendant because of the serious nature of the offence and the fact that the accused flushed some of the pills down the toilet bowl.
Simon will make his next court appearance on May 8, 2019.
