Police were up to late Friday night investigating the murder of a 69-year-old woman whose body was discovered in her home at Tempie Village West Coast Berbice with her throat slit.
The woman was identified as Joycelyn Jameer and relatives said that she was already dressed in her nightgown at the time the brutal attack on her took place.

Reports said that the elderly woman lived with her daughter. The daughter had however left earlier in the day on personal business and returned home around night fall to make the shocking discovery.
