The proprietor of a taxi service at Rosignol , West Bank Berbice met an untimely death on Friday afternoon after he lost control of his motorcycle and crashed into a trench.

Dead is the 37-year-old man who has been identified only as “Troy” and “Wylie” who resided at Panday Street, Bath Settlement, West Coast Berbice.

Reports are that the man was riding a Kawasaki motorcycle along the Blairmont Estate Road around 17:15hrs this afternoon when he lost control of the bike which ended up in a trench.He died on the spot.

Police are investigating the accident.
