CCWS route Ann’s Grove 9-1

LINDEN’s Christianburg-Wismar Secondary School (CWSS) continued its dominance in the Milo Schools Football tournament with a 9-1 drubbing of Anns Grove on Sunday.
Playing in the second game of the day, the Linden-based side was led by Wayne Wilson with a hat-trick, thanks to successful strikes in the 21st, 37th and 39th minutes.

Braces from Andre Meyer (28th and 48th), Tyrese Lewis (30th and 45th), and Randy Pickering (32nd and 46th) were the other strikes that blasted into the net.
Surprisingly enough, the first goal came from Anns Grove through Sidwell Albert in the 10th minute, but that was the only time they had a sniff of goal against a hungry CWSS lineup.

In the day’s opening game, Vergenoegen was able to overcome the war against Tucville via a 2-1 margin.

Chris Smith set Vergenoegen on the right path in the 21st minute when he scored the opening goal. The match continued in a back and forth rhythm until Dwayne Jones of Tucville equalized in the 36th minute.

The game would continue onward with more intensity before Smith’s 57th-minute strike sealed the deal.

In the last game of the day, it was easy pickings as Keon Kattou shot St Cuthbert’s Mission past Cummings Lodge via a 1-0 margin.
