MATTHEW Vieira picked up three chequered flags in the opening round of the Guyana Motor Racing and Sports Club’s first National Race of champions.

Vieira, riding in the Street Cross race, was unstoppable, riding rings around the competition.

There were also wins for Shaan Seejattan in the Group Two class, and Motilall Deodass and Rameez Mohamed in the group three glass.

Andrew King picked up one win out of the two Group four races after mechanical issues forced Kevin Jeffrey out of the race while Rupie Seejattan and Keith Evelyn crashed out
