Jury selected for start of murdered city businessman’s case

A 12-member jury was, on Tuesday (February 5, 2019) empanelled for the trial of Morris Prince, who allegedly murdered city businessman, Oriley Small on March 19, 2016.

On the presentation of the indictment, the accused pleaded not guilty to murder.

Mark Waldron is being retained by the accused, while the State prosecutors are Tuanna Hardy, Teriq Mohamed and Abigail Gibbs.

The State will present witnesses as the case starts before Justice Navindra Singh in the Demerara High Court.
