The lifeless body of a  44 year-old farmer of Bon Fin, Brazil was found on a track in the open savannah at Moco Moco Village, Central Rupununi on Boxing Day.

Police said the body of Elvis Aulicio was found around 02:00hrs with wounds to his back and forehead.

An initial investigation revealed that the deceased was imbibing at a house in Moco Moco Village on Christmas Day and left about 22:00hrs. His body was taken to the Lethem Public Hospital mortuary.

A male was detained for questioning.
