NEXGEN Global Marketing. in association with Banks DIH, MACORP, New Trend Auto and Party Castle will host the first Media Appreciation Awards ceremony on December 20.

These major companies have come together to show their appreciation for the remarkable efforts that the media has made over the past year in the various areas of promoting sports, business, and entertainment.

“Without the extra efforts made by the members of the media, we could not have accomplished the goals we set in 2018 and informed the public in such grand fashion,” said NexGen’s Aleem Hussain.

“The companies who have joined together are some of the elite businesses in the country that recognise the media plays an important role in ensuring that vital and necessary information is passed on to the public in a timely manner.”

Carlton Joao of Banks DIH saluted the decision to recognise the media corps and said “the decision to participate was made without hesitation. Banks DIH is one of the largest sponsors of sports in the country with contributions to almost every type of sporting activities in Guyana”.

Guillermo Escarraga, the newly appointed head of the machinery giant MACORP, which recently launched its agricultural division with Case IH Tractors stated that “his company felt it was a great initiative to celebrate the efforts made by the media houses and that his company was proud to be a part of this event.”

Entrepreneur and business owner Rudy Ramalingum of New Trend Auto applauded the event and felt that without the contributions of the media, the general public would never know all that is happening in the country. “These are the eyes and ears of the people and they too need to be rewarded for their time and hard work.”

The event will be hosted and catered by Diane, owner of Party Castle, one of the nation’s leading party services. Diane recently hosted a Thanksgiving Dinner for 200 children from several orphanages and youth programmes and vowed to continue to give back to the community; she is such an integral part of in so many ways.

The Media Appreciation Awards was the brainchild of Hussain of NexGen Global Marketing, one of the largest real estate, auto rental and Advertising & Marketing companies.

Hussain is also president of the Lusignan Golf Course and complimented the efforts that the media to promote the development and awareness of golf, boxing and business in the country.

“These Awards will celebrate those who have contributed in various fields and departments and all media houses will be invited. We are asking that every major media outlet appoint three persons for recognition and they will be recognised in a manner they truly deserve.”
