GUYANA’s premier oil and gas academy, TotalTec has conducted its first Banksman and Slinger Safety and Operational training programme with 21 recruits from the Strategic Recruitment Solutions Inc. (SRS).

Through the International Petroleum and Maritime Academy (IPMA), TotalTec hosted recruits from SRS which is a local recruitment company which focuses on the oil and gas industry.

According to the representatives of TotalTec, SRS had recruited 21 Guyanese for one of its clients with the intention of placing their recruits in the Oil and Gas sector.
“We are pleased that SRS recognises that in the IPMA, there is a local company that provides the highest standard of safety and operational training in Oil and Gas that meets international requirements,” said TotalTec. The request for a training course was made last week and in less than a week, the course was set up with the instructor mobilised from Aberdeen, Scotland.
