AN attacking unbeaten century from Seon Venture and a composed half-century from Wayne Osborne handed Sans Souci Sports Club a 118-run victory over Zeelandia Sports Club when the Badri Prasad Memorial T20 competition continued last Sunday in Wakenaam.

Venture struck 13 sixes in an even 100 off just 22 balls, while Osborne hit eight sixes in his 65 and Kamal Khan chipped in with 48 as Sans Souci SC rattled up 281-6, batting first at Zeelandia.

Mohindra Jadukool captured 2-40 and Ryan Atkinson 2-57.

Zeelandia SC were bowled out for 163 in 18 overs in reply. Ryan Adams slammed 50, while Ajay Ghansham made 35 as Tavin Budram picked up 2-8 and Kamal Khan 2-18.

In the second fixture, which was reduced to 15 overs due to rain, Sans Souci Jaguars, led by a fine all-round performance from Zameer Zaman, beat Zeelandia SC by nine wickets.\

Zeelandia SC took first strike and managed 114 all out in 14 overs. Ryan Adams made 22; Zaman grabbed 3-15 and Derwin Daniels 3-22. Sans Souci Jaguars reached 115 for 1 in seven overs in response.

Zaman belted six fours and eight sixes in a swashbuckling 76 not out while Safraz Mohamed made 31 not out; Mohindra Jadokool took 1 for 12.

At the Wakenaam Community Centre ground in Good Success, Noitgedacht Sports Club failed to show up for their fixture against defending champions Maria’s Pleasure SC.

The competition continues on Sunday. At Wakenaam Community Centre ground, Good Success SC will tackle Maria’s Pleasure at 09:00hrs and Sans Souci SC will face arch-rivals Sans Souci Jaguars at 13:00hrs.
