THE curtain came down on the third edition of the Limacol football tournament on Friday evening, with Police FC securing a hard-fought win against Pouderoyen.

Police scored early through Anthio Wallace who gathered a through ball into the box before converting past the keeper in the 12th minute.

The result doubled in the 32nd after a defensive error let him slip through.

However, a goalkeeping error gave the West Demerara side a fighting chance in the 34th when Alex Andrew’s shot slipped through the keeper’s glove.

It was then that Pouderoyen began a fightback that pushed Police on the defensive till the halftime whistle.

On the return, Wallace restored the two-goal deficit for the lawmen in the 60th before Dexroy Adams sealed the deal in the 82nd.
