THE preliminary Inquiry into the murder of Purcell Moore Jr. who was gunned down at Craig Old Road, East Bank Demerara (EBD) last December, continued on Thursday before Senior Magistrate Fabayo Azore at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court.

Charged are Selwin Dawson, 21, called ‘Pop Skull’ of First Field, Kaneville, EBD and 21-year-old Kelvin Persaud of 14th Avenue, Diamond, EBD. The two men are accused of killing 40-year-old Moore during the course of a robbery on December 20, 2017.

Police Sergeant Keith Conway had taken to the witness stand causing the matter to be adjourned until September 27 when the final witness is expected to testify.

According to reports, the father of two was robbed of his gold chain and other jewellery on the day in question. He sustained two gunshot wounds to the head during the attack which occurred one street away from his mother’s home in Craig.
