RANDY Benjamin, a 19- year- old construction worker appeared before Magistrate Judy Latchman on Monday after being charged with wounding.
It was alleged that Benjamin on April 1, 2018 at East Rumveldt inflicted grievous bodily harm to Owen Hercules. Benjamin pleaded not guilty to the charge.
Police Prosecutor Quinn Harris told the court that on April 1, 2018 the defendant and the virtual complainant were at a shop drinking. They got into an argument and the accused picked up a brick and threw it at the virtual complainant, hitting him. The victim suffered injuries to his head and right ear.
Magistrate Judy Latchman placed Benjamin on $80,000 bail and the matter was adjourned.
