The Pomeroon River , one of the deepest rivers in Guyana
Ivor France, 56- years- old of Hackney Canal, Lower Pomeroon River was hospitalised on Sunday evening after he was severely injured during a boat collision.
France was a passenger in a boat , the ‘Morissa ‘, which collided with another in the vicinity of Grant Mount Estate, Lower Pomeroon River around 18:00hrs. He is currently a patient at the Oscar Joseph Hospital at Charity nursing injuries to his head.
Reports are the ‘Morrisa’ was on the southern side of the Pomeroon River proceeding west when  it  collided with the other  boat which was heading in the  opposite direction.
The two boat captains are presently in police custody. (Indrawattie Natram)
