… King receives NSC’s PWD Sports Woman 2017 Award

THE National Sports Commission’s (NSC) Annual Persons with Disabilities (PWD) swim meet was a success with over 30 participants at the Colgrain Pool on Camp Street.

Participants came from institutions such as St Barnabas Special School, Diamond Special Needs School, Gifted Hands, HB Davis Special School, David Rose Special School and the Open Doors Centre.

Additionally the Director of Sport, Christopher Jones handed over NSC’s PWD Sportswoman-of-the-Year 2017 award to Faith King.
The overall results of the meet are as follows:

First place: St Barnabas Special School – 5 gold, 4 silver, 5 bronze
Second Place: Diamond Special School – 3 gold, 4 silver, 5 bronze
Third Place: Gifted Hands – 1 gold, 5 silver, 3 bronze
Fourth Place: Open Doors – 5 gold
Fifth Place: HB Davis Special School – 1 gold, 1 silver

Outstanding athletes included:
Rohit Lowtan (Open Doors) – 2 gold
Faith King (St Barnabas Special School) – 1 gold, 1 silver
Davena Nauth (St Barnabas Special School) – 2 gold
