FRUSTRATION among the security employed by a private security service to provide security for government buildings throughout Region Four continues to grow, and they have become desperate in their efforts to get all those in authority to look into our matter.

By this we mean the Honourable Prime Minister, Minister of Finance, Minister of Education and the Minister of Labour. A security service operating from the Seaforth Street, Campbellville area had failed to pay us retroactive from July 1, 2013 to October 31, 2013 and that is when the increase was made from $140 to $202.

Again, since the minimum wage increase was made from January 1, 2017 we have not received a single cent of the increase. However, we would be more than grateful if this matter could be investigated because whenever pay time comes around we hear the same old cry, that the Ministry of Education has not paid them the increase. So we would like to know what the Minister of Finance, along with the Minister of Labour meant when they mentioned (higher wages… Cabinet clears new minimum wage for private sector).

Honourable Minister of Education we would welcome if you could have an investigation into our finance department, for not paying an increase to one of the two securities highlighted by the owner of RK Security via the bidding to date. They now come up with a colossal lie that they had bid for $355 while the others had bid for $255, a figure cleared by the Cabinet new minimum wage for private sector in order not to pay increase.
