THE Guyana Police Force (GPF) failed in their bid to arrest the Panthers Rugby Club and were crushed 32 – 5 when the Guyana Rugby Football Union (GRFU), Bounty Farm 15s continued at the National Park yesterday.
After a 10 – 0 half time score in favour of the Panthers, Godfrey Broomes and Jacques Archibald the two scorers in the first half for Panthers, continued their onslaught on the Police defence.
Archibald would score two more tries, pushing the score to 20 – 0 but the Panthers, through Broomes, were only able to score one of the two conversions.
After Broomes’ try, the Panthers led 22 – 0, but Quacy Kendall scored the lone try (22 – 5) of the game for Police.
Rondel ‘Bull’ McArthur and Lloyd Anderson would score back-to-back tries for the Panthers as they close out the game against a hapless Police Falcons.
