Demerara Bank celebrates ninth anniversary

–of doing business in the Cinderella County

MAY 25 happens to be a special date on the calendar of Demerara Bank Ltd as it is on that day back in 2009 that it opened a branch at Anna Regina, on the Essequibo Coast.

Today, some nine years on, the branch still prides itself in providing the same quality and superior banking services to individuals and corporate businesses in the County, but more particularly in supporting the development of its various sectors, rice inclusive, by offering a wide range of credit facilities, personalised banking services, and value-added products.

Reputedly the leading source of financing for renewable energy in Guyana, Demerara Bank encourages both energy efficiency and energy conservation to ensure energy sustainability for the future.

According to a press release to mark this auspicious occasion, the Bank says it continues to promote its ‘Green Initiative’ by reducing its carbon print and operating the majority of its locations on renewable energy.

“We also remain non-discriminatory in our policies, and continue to strive to offer the best of service to our customers, irrespective of ethnicity, cultural background, or belief,” it says, adding:

“We further pledge to support the development of the society though meaningful community engagement.”

In closing, the Chairman, Board of Directors, Management and Staff of Demerara Bank Ltd took the opportunity to thank all the customers of its Anna Regina Branch for their “incredible support and loyalty over the years”.
