No bail for alleged phone snatcher

MARK Moseley appeared on Monday before Principal Magistrate Judy Latchman on a simple larceny charge.

Police have alleged that on May 6, 2018 at Demico House, he stole one Blue cell phone worth $ 32,000, the property of Rishana Victoria but Moseley denied the charge.
The prosecutor objected to bail due to the seriousness of the offence.

According to the police reports, on the day of question, the virtual complainant was at Demico in Georgetown when the defendant snatched her phone and quickly jumped into a taxi. He was forced out of the vehicle but quickly joined a Route 47 mini bus.

Police officers who were alerted stopped the mini bus and conducted a search on the defendant and found the phone in his possession.

Bail was refused by the magistrate and Moseley was remanded to prison until May 21, 2018.
