Two hospitalised in boat collision

TWO persons are patients at the Oscar Joseph Hospital in Charity, Essequibo Coast, nursing injuries following a boat collision at Wakapoa, Lower Pomeroon, Region Two on Tuesday.
Those hospitalised are Venassa John, 17, and Michele Smith, 14. The captains of both boats are in police custody assisting with investigations.

Reports indicate that Hurbert James, 49, a pastor of Wakapoa, was heading east of the river with the two teenagers when he collided with the deputy toshao of the community, Wayne Boyan, who was heading in the opposite direction.
Police are investigating the incident.
