Light welterweight Lewis will face a familiar foe in St Lucian Nathan Ferrari in his first fight at the Commonwealth Games.

Today’s encounter marks the third meeting between the two, with Lewis, the Caribbean Champion, winning the first two fights in the first round via knockouts. The winner of today’s contest will face Sinethemba Blom of South Africa.
Meanwhile, Youth Commonwealth Games silver medallist flyweight Keevin Allicock will lace up his gloves on April 9 against Scotland’s Reece McFadden – the 2014 Commonwealth Games bronze medallist.

Over in squash, Mary Fung-A-Fat comes up against Canada’s Sam Court, Sunil Seth plays Barbados’ Shawn Simpson, Jason Khalil plays Campbell Grayson of New Zealand and Taylor Fernandes matches racquet skills with Tesni Evans.

Meanwhile, Fowler is down to take the pool in the 50 metres butterfly, where he’s aiming to add to Walter P. Spence’s silver which is the only medal so far for swimming in the games’ history. Jamila Sanmoogan is the other swimmer. Sean Baksh travelled as their coach.
Table tennis players Trenace Lowe, Priscilla Greaves, Christopher Franklin, Natalie Cummings, Shemar Britton, Nigel Bryan and Joel Alleyne will come face-to-face with their counterparts from England today in men’s and women’s actions.

In track and field, Guyana will be represented by Troy Doris, Winston George, Emanuel Archibald, Leslain Baird, Natricia Hooper and Natrena Hooper.
