TWO of Guyana’s top national badminton players, Priyanna Ramdhani and Jonathan Mangra, will be attending a high-tech Badminton Training Camp ‘Road to Barranquilla’ in Ciudad de Guatemala from March 21 to April 22.

The camp, organised by the Pan American Sports and Badminton Pan American Confederation and endorsed by the Guyana Olympic Association, will feature world-ranked players from the Pan American region.

The Guyanese were chosen because Narayan and Priyanna Ramdhani are in the world rankings in the Badminton World Federation’s listing and because of that, the Guyana Badminton Association (GBA) was given two spots to attend this camp.

Narayan is scheduled to be at the Commonwealth Games in Australia and therefore Guyana’s No.2 ranked player, Jonathan Mangra was sent in his place.

The camp is expected to benefit the Guyanese duo as it will give them more ranking points and a place in the Central American and Caribbean (CAC) Games, scheduled to take place in Colombia in July this year.
