SEVENTEEN-year-old Travis Price, a labourer of Lot 147 Richmond Housing Scheme on the Essequibo Coast will have to complete two months of community service at the Anna Regina Police Station after being found with ganja.
The order was given by Essequibo Magistrate Esther Sam after the teenager pleaded guilty to having in his possession one gramme of cannabis. He made his first appearance before Magistrate Sam at the Suddie Magistrate’s Court where he pleaded guilty to the charge of possession of narcotic. It is alleged that on March 13 during a police search, he was found with the cannabis at Richmond Village, Essequibo Coast. He was fined $3,000 along with two months of community service.
