TWO students who had escaped the New Opportunity Corps facility in Region Two during a church service Thursday last, were on Tuesday evening caught at Airy Hall Village, Essequibo Coast.
They were captured by police, who were accompanied by staff from the facility. Those who were caught were two 16-year-olds.
Police acting on information went to the neighbourhood around 16:30hrs and captured the students who were seen loitering along the dam. Eight students serving years at the facility are still at large. Reports are that a social worker attached to the NOC, Camilla Gonsalves, told the police Thursday last that the students made a run for it around 14:30hrs and made their exit through the back gate of the institution.
