THE Berbice Cricket Board has named a 14-member team for the National Inter-county under -17 tournament.

The 2018 tournament will see Essequibo coming up against Demerara at the Lusignan Community Centre ground when the Guyana Cricket Board (GCB)-sponsored Under-17 Inter-county tournament starts on Wednesday.
The BCB U-17 squad was involved in training sessions with a selected group of Under 19 players at the Albion Sports complex on Sunday under the watchful eyes of Coach Andre Percival and manager/assistant coach, Delbert Hicks.

The Berbice team squad: Jevon Shultz (Captain), Marvin Prashad (vice-Captain), Ricardo Ramdehol, Fawaz Gafoor, Jarron France, Nigel Deodat, Seon Glasgow, Chandeepaul Gobin, Mohabir Seeraj, Abdul Ramsammy, Gourav Ramesh, Saif Amoi, Doorsammy Madadeo, Quincy Auldles. Delbert Hicks will perform duties of manager/assistant coach while Andre Percival is coach.

The tournament will feature Essequibo, Demerara, Berbice and an Under-15 select team.
The players will seek to make an impression given that the competition will be used to select the national team for the upcoming regional tournament. Matches will be played on March 7, 9 and 11 at various venues in Georgetown.
