WHEN the Turtle Creek Road, Five Star Backdam, North West District murder trial continues in the Georgetown High Court on Monday at 09:00hrs before Justice James Bovell-Drakes and a 12-member jury, the accused Marlon Freeman is expected to lead his defence.

He along with three other witnesses – his mother and two brothers – will testify.

Several witnesses took the stand during the trial in which Government Pathologist Dr. Nehaul Singh testified that he performed a post-mortem on the body of Timothy Adams in 2013.
He gave the cause of death as shock and haemorrhage due to an incised wound to the neck, compounded by blunt trauma to the head.

The accused Marlon Freeman was indicted for the murder of a city gold miner/dredge owner, Timothy Adams.

In presenting the state’s case, Prosecutor Lisa Cave told the court that between December 22 and 23, 2013, the accused allegedly murdered the miner.

The accused has since pleaded not guilty and is being represented by defence attorney Folio Richards.
