A 40-year-old miner of Sideline Dam, Beterverwagting, East Coast Demerara was Tuesday afternoon arrested at the Itaballi Police Checkpoint after being found in possession of 1,308 grammes of compressed cannabis.

The illicit drug was found concealed inside of a milk tin with a false bottom, police said in a release. The suspect who has a pending drug trafficking charge at the Bartica Magistrate‘s Court is being processed for court.
