STUDENTS from the Institut National ele Musique d’Haiti – an institute in Central Haiti which uses cultural art forms in social intervention for the youth – were given the opportunity to perform for the CARICOM Heads of Government and other delegates at the opening of the 29th Inter-Sessional Meeting on Monday.
The students performed a welcome song for the Heads, then the National Anthem of the Republic of Haiti and the CARICOM song – Celebrating CARICOM.
The Institute, located in the Plateau Central area, Pandiassou, has a student population of 1,200. Haiti, the latest member of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM), is hosting the 29th CARICOM Inter-Sessional Meeting which will conclude today, Tuesday.
