THE decomposed body of a 37-year-old miner of Herbidia Village, North West District (NWD) was on Sunday found in a crouching position and suspended by a wire from a tree in the same village.

He was identified as Ryan Roberts. His step-father, Raymond LaRose and other villagers found him clad in a pair of red short pants.

The face was badly decomposed but there were no marks of violence on his body. The man’s wife, Bridgette Roberts had told police that she last saw him leaving her home on December, 30 last.

She related that her husband when he was leaving said he was heading to Franklin Chappell’s shop which is also located in the same village, but he never returned home.

The body was escorted to the Moruca Regional Hospital where an examination was done. The matter was subsequently reported to police and an investigation is ongoing.
