THE five Guyanese youth players selected in the West Indies Under-19 World Cup squad departed on Wednesday for Barbados.

The crew will join the rest of the Windies Under-19 players, as they journey to New Zealand 2018 ICC Youth 50-over World Cup.
Bhaskar Yadram, Raymond Perez, Ashmead Nedd, Ronaldo Alimohamed and Joshua Persaud are the Guyanese players selected for the tournament which will be played from January 13 to February 3.
They were expected to leave Barbados last evening.
West Indies, the defending champions, are installed in Group A alongside Kenya, South Africa and the hosts.
