Berbice 25-mile cycle road race on tomorrow

THE Flying Ace Cycling Club, in collaboration with the Guyana Police Force’s `B’ Division (Berbice), will tomorrow stage a 25-mile road race for cyclists living or based in Berbice.

The event wheels off from the corner of Main and Alexander Streets, New Amsterdam and proceeds to the Rose Hall Town Arch before returning to finish at the place of origin.

The first six finishers as well as the first veteran and the first female will be rewarded for their efforts.

The BMX riders, who will contest a shorter distance, will also be recognized for their efforts as will the first three finishers in the Boys’ 6-9 age group along with the first three finishers in the 9-12 age group.

The club’s coach Randolph Roberts and Edmond Cooper, Second-in-Command of the Guyana Police Force’s `B’ Division, are the persons in charge of staging the activity, which forms part of the Guyana Police Force Road Safety Month.
