A 27-year-old fisherman accused of breaking into a woman’s home and carting off almost $550,000 in items was on Wednesday arraigned before City Magistrate Fabayo Azore at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court.
Vishal Jones, of Zeeburg, West Coast Demerara, denied that between October 25 and November 1 at George Street, Georgetown, he broke into the dwelling home of Michel Michado and stole a quantity of household and construction items worth $549,000.
With no objection from police prosecutor Simone Payne, Jones was released on $50,000 bail, and had his matter adjourned until November 27.
