THE Ministry of Natural Resources notes the publication of the letter entitled, ‘There is a major cover-up going on at the GGMC’ and signed ‘small miner’ in the Kaieteur News of November 3, 2017. The ministry welcomes feedback from the general public with a view to improving our service and meeting our customers’ needs.

We can confirm that the matter raised in the letter is being given urgent attention at the highest level at the Guyana Geology and Mines Commission (GGMC). In addition, the ministry is working to have this matter resolved through a mediated process.
