Former CONCACAF president and FIFA vice- president, Jeffrey Webb, has sold his Loganville, Georgia home and handed over the payment to the United States Justice Department.

Webb had pleaded guilty to several counts of racketeering and corruption relating to a widespread FIFA probe two years ago and is to be sentenced next July.
The former CONCACAF president, who had agreed to forfeit US$6.7 million in assets as part of his guilty plea, would have initially had the house taken by the justice department, but was said to have already entered into an agreement to sell.

The US Justice Department had then agreed to take the money from the house’s sale.
Only recently, Webb’s aide, Costas Takkas, who had pleaded guilty to funneling US$1.75 million in bribe money to Webb, was sentenced to 15 months in prison.
That money, it was alleged in court, was used to build a swimming pool on the property Webb was forced to sell. (Sportsmax.com)
