Impossible pill for Jagdeo to swallow

Sir,
Now we have reached the stage where the Leader of the Opposition insists that he sleeps well at night. We all know what that means. It was by his own admission. It was not the answer to a question posed by any member of the media or by his doctor. He blurted that statement out on his own volition.
It means that he really has a problem sleeping at night (or any other time for that matter). And he should, considering what he had in his hands politically then worked so hard to absolutely throw it all away. I am not a psychiatrist, but his latest rants and depraved outpourings make me think that he is suffering from fatigue.
Jagdeo’s reaction to the President’s appointment of the new GECOM Commissioner, and his general negative reaction to everything else that the President does, is testament to his resignation (and acknowledgement) that he will never be president of this country again, a fact that is too painful and impossible a pill for him to swallow.
The poor guy is only human, and like all humans he too has a conscience that speaks to him. It should not be too difficult for Guyanese everywhere to imagine or understand what his conscience must be telling him on a daily (and nightly) basis.
We all know of his propensity for extra judicial, immoral, and other unacceptable behavior, so we can imagine how painful it is for him to reflect on those terrible things that he did while he had the power and ask himself the punishing ‘what if’ questions that he inevitably must ask himself. Who would want to place themselves or find themselves in such a position?
Oil has come to Guyana while Jagdeo is out of power. That must be a misprint. It just cannot be! How could the Gods do such a vile thing? Thus the sad behavior of this man.
And it is truly sad, as this is only the beginning of what will obviously be a lifetime of regret for Jagdeo, and the thing that makes it even worse for him is that he does not have the capacity to cope with his dilemma. Who knows? He might even be required to account in detail for all those anti-Guyana actions that he took while he ruled.
Somebody find some sleeping tablets urgently.
