Editor’s note

This week we continue to look at the agriculture sector in light of Agriculture Month which is being observed in October. We tell the stories of some young people who have taken the plunge and have dedicated their lives and careers to agriculture.

We also look at how one woman has used her unique invention to earn a living for herself and to place Guyana on the map through her small agro-processing venture. But more than that, we look at other stories, including one woman who is advocating for more breast cancer screening and awareness initiatives to be taken to the hinterland where proper health care is not as accessible as it is on the Coast.

The Pepperpot also brings you a rare, intimate look at the life of one of our Government Ministers and her fight for equality in the mining sector, as well as the story of a man who has struggled with alcohol addiction and how he has fought to overcome it. Indeed, this week’s Pepperpot Magazine is filled with stories laced with inspiration, spirit and passion, and we hope that you enjoy reading it.
