A BAT used by Australia cricket team legend Don Bradman during India’s first tour of Australia in 1947-48 was presented to the Fanattic Sports Museum in Kolkata on Tuesday.

It was handed over by former Aussie skipper Michael Clarke on behalf of Nikhil Daftary who is a Melbourne-based collector of sports memorabilia.
Since David Warner’s bat too is part of the museum’s collection, it helped former internationals such as Deep Dasgupta, Brad Hogg and Clarke to compare the two and show how thick bats of today’s generation have become.
“To have averaged 99.94 with bats of this kind makes you marvel all over again,” said Clarke.
