Buzzing this weekend

THE cricket craze comes to a boil this weekend, on Saturday to be exact, and since it’s been the talk of the town all last week, there’s hardly a Guyanese that’s going to want to miss it!

It may be in Trinidad making it difficult for some of us to be in the stadium where we want to be, but that’s no impediment to enjoying the vibes just as much!

There’s going to be viewing parties at least at Tower Suites and 704!

Aside from cricket, there’s also a lot of sports going on this weekend that’s sure to be entertaining! There’s football at GFC on Sunday, and a horse race meet up Berbice!

Amerindian month is also here, and part of the activities will see a few savannah drives going on, with one headed to St Cuthbert’s Mission taking place this Saturday, and word is there’s going to pepperpot galore.

**The Crawford Memorial Turf Club and Sports Facility in Alness, Corentyne presents a grand day of horseracing called “A New Era of Horse Racing” this Sunday. The feature event will be the Alness Classic, which will be open to horses four years old and up from the USA, Canada and the Caribbean (8-furlong).
We pushed the date back to allow the horses to get some rest from the busy period of racing.
**It’s Monaco again! Marvelous Sundays presents “Meh Nah Gone No Weh” at Club Monaco!
Big ‘tek-ups’ in the dance, with music by Stereo Sonic, Determine and Ghost Rider Sounds!

**Semi-final action in the Corona Invitational Tournament continues this Sunday at the GFC Ground, Bourda from 19:00hours!
It’s the showdown of the best as the four teams in GT match skills, and battle for championships honours!
