ALMOST a year after a father of three was killed by a minibus, while standing on the road outside the Diamond Diagnostic Centre, the inquest into the matter commenced on Monday.
The proceeding is being heard before City Magistrate Judy Latchman and a three member jury to determine whether the minibus driver, Christopher Bose, is criminally responsible for Persaud’s death.
On April 21, 2016 Persaud was hit down by minibus PFF 9802 driven by Bose. The driver of the minibus informed Police that Persaud fell in front of his bus. The inquest began with the testimony of Detective Sergeant Keith Conway who is stationed at the Grove Police Station. The inquest is adjourned and several police and civilian witnesses are expected to testify.
