IN YET another humanitarian gesture, God’s Cathedral of Praise, located at Lamaha Park, East La Penitence, last Tuesday made a presentation of medical equipment and supplies to Uncle Eddie’s Home, Jackson Street, TucVille, East La Penitence.
The items were handed over to the institution’s Administrator, Ms. Bonita Moore by Bishop Timothy Norton, accompanied by Elders Lloyd Pinder and Joycelyn Jaccobs and witnessed by some of the beneficiaries.
The gift package which included two wheelchairs, one three-wheel walker; one bath safety shower chair, and one commode were donated with the compliments of Pastors Dennis and Joseph Norton of Agape House of Prayer, Praise and Worship, Brooklyn, New York.
The items, in addition to providing assistance to seniors who have difficulty in tight spaces such as bathrooms, allows the shut-ins to live life to the fullest by actively participating and handling their daily needs. Essentially, the bathroom supplies and equipment restore their dignity, allowing them to personally take care of their hygiene needs without depending on others. It also allows them to feel both independent and valued.
