WITH reference to a letter in the Guyana Times of June 19,2017, we the women in mining find it very discriminatory and wicked by some people who will find it hard to indulge the acting land manager of GGMC in corruption and skullduggery. These people seem to be very cockeyed in respect of conflict of interest. Order is now being brought to the GGMC LAND MANAGEMENT DEPT under this woman. Professionalism is now present, but the problem with these people who are crying foul is because a woman is the head. Didn’t these same people know of all the conflicts of interest and corruption by senior people at GGMC? Yes, they all know. Don’t these people know that a member of the Board of Directors is renting a building to GGMC for two million dollars?

Don’t they know that President of the GGDMA who is a member of the Board of directors, applied for lands and got it? Isn’t this too conflict of interest?
We are saying today it is time to give this woman a chance to get her work done. We are already seeing changes and changes that certain people cannot accept. We continue to call for the complete removal of Donald Singh from the GGMC and the stepping down of Newell Dennison.
