–At ICT int’l food festival next weekend

THE grounds of the Indian Monument Garden on Camp and Church Streets is set to be the venue of an International Food and Drink Tasting Festival on Saturday, June 10, from 17:00hrs.
Called a SWADISH, the event, which is being coordinated by the Indian Commemoration Trust (ICT), will feature a wide range of foods from around the globe, along with dances, music and videos highlighting the performing arts from the different cultures, among them Mexican, Indian, Chilean, Chinese, Brazilian, Surinamese, South African, Trinidadian and Guyanese.
The event will incorporate a chit system, whereby tickets costing $1500 and $500 will be returned to the ticket holder in the same quantity of chits.
The ICT invites everyone to come out and enjoy a rich mix of cultures from around the world through food, dance, and other cultural items.
