CABINET on Tuesday noted the award of a contract to the tune of $13,048,010 for emergency repairs to the generator set of the Transport and Harbours Department Ferry, MV Kanawan.

The contract has been awarded to Courtney Benn Contracting Services Limited. The MV Kanawan was inoperable from April 26 to April 30, a period of five days, due to the failure of the generator.
