Man dies after crashing into parked truck

A 27- YEAR-OLD West Berbice motorcyclist died at the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation Friday night,24 hours after an accident with his motorcycle on the Golden Gove public road on Thursday night.
The dead man was identified as Michael Persid , a rice farmer of Tempie Village, West Coast Berbice.

Reports stated that Persid was riding his motorcycle west along the southern carriageway of the Golden Grove public road  on Thursday night when he lost control and crashed into the rear of a parked lorry.
Reports indicate that he suffered severe head injuries on impact.
He was picked up in an unconscious condition and taken to the Fort Wellington Hospital from where he was first referred to the New Amsterdam Hospital and subsequently the Guyana Public Hospital Corporation where he died without regaining consciousness.
