NIS responds to complaint by pensioner

Dear Editor

REFERENCE is made to Mr Hubert Cramer- Seon’s letters which appeared in the Kaieteur News on two (2) occasions, March 21, 2017 and April 10, 2017 respectively.

Mr Sidney King also wrote a letter on the same issue and that was published on April 18, 2017.

Please be advised that an investigation of Mr Cramer-Seon’s matter was conducted. The scheme still maintains and has substantial evidence to support our claims that he worked with Williems Timbers Ltd. There is no evidence to show that he worked at Toolsie Persaud during the period stated in his missive. However, instead, there is evidence to show that his brother, Mr Winston Seon who is now deceased, was employed with that company.

Additionally, the investigation revealed that the claimant is known by three names.

Management is of the opinion that there is an urgent need for dialogue with Mr.Cramer-Seon and has written him inviting him to come in to us. An invitation is herein again being extended to him along with his representative to visit our Head Office, Brickdam and Winter Place, Georgetown, at the earliest opportunity, in an effort to resolve this outstanding matter.

Regards
National Insurance Scheme
