DESMOND `Dynamite’ Amsterdam and Joel Williamson are currently undergoing a two-week training stint in the twin island Republic of Trinidad and Tobago ahead of their participation in the Islamic Games scheduled for Azerbaijan next month.
According to reports, Amsterdam and Williamson left Guyana early last week for the Twin Island Republic accompanied by their coach Gregory Cort.
Their training stint was made possible through a collaborative effort between the Guyana Olympic Association and the Guyana Boxing Association.
Amsterdam is the Caribbean Middleweight champion and Williamson, the Caribbean Lightweight champion.
