THE International Basketball Federation (FIBA) America’s Assistant Regional Director Victor Mansure arrived in Guyana for a high-level meeting with the Guyana Amateur Basketball Federation (GABF) and key stakeholders of the game locally.
A release from the GABF states that Mansure intends to have an understanding of the current state of basketball in Guyana, including shortcomings and/or limitations, as well as the way forward for the advancement of the sport.
The GABF had received a letter from FIBA America’s Regional Director Alberto Garcia, outlining the key changes by the International body to meet the high demands of the game of basketball globally.
