AS part of the drive to promote commerce and trade in Region Five, the West Berbice Chamber of Industry and Commerce (WBCIC) will be hosting its second annual two-day Expo and Trade Fair on April 15 and 16 to showcase the region’s diversity and attract potential investors.
President of the Chamber, Mr Imran Saccoor, disclosed that the event will be hosted under the Theme, “Building a Diversified Economy” and the venue will be the Bath Settlement
Community Centre Ground, Bath Settlement, West Coast Berbice.

Saccoor disclosed that the Chamber was delighted to stage this initiative, since it believed that the investment represents development for the region and will go a far way towards exposing businesses within the region to additional markets, near and far.
He said that the much-anticipated and fun-filled Exposition and Trade Fair is being designed to attract public and private sector businesses, Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) and other interested organizations to exhibit their products and services.in support of the Chamber’s drive to promote commerce and trade in Region Five.
The usual vending, children’s games and entertainment including live bands, fireworks etc, will be available to satisfy the needs of the public.
Saccoor said that the Chamber is encouraging businesses to book their booths
early.
Booth spots in the main exposition auditorium with sizes 10ft *8 ft are available for $20,000:for the two nights.
In addition, spots are available around the venue for larger companies who are desirous of
establishing their own external booths. Admission to the event is $500: adults and children $200: The Expo will be open from 16.00 hrs daily and will close at 00:00 hrs (midnight) over the two- day period. Saccoor said that interested partners and sponsors are asked to come on board.
